Under this partnership, the BES12 Cloud solution will be bundled for free with the new or renewed monthly plans of mobile business customers of M1.
"M1 is pleased to be the first in Southeast Asia to bring the benefits of BES12 to customers with easy deployment through Cloud. This partnership with BlackBerry simplifies the way customers buy and use mobility, driving efficiencies and ultimately helps businesses enhance the way they service their own customers," said Willis Sim, Chief Product Development and Corporate Solutions Officer at M1.
BES12 offers multi-OS support and enables organisations to remotely provision employees with corporate applications, assign usage rights, and secure their devices against unauthorised use.
Customers can also upgrade their EMM solution, but still on a monthly subscription model, to access the full suite of BES12 features which include secure mobile connectivity, secure applications and separating work and personal content.
Customers, on the other hand, will only pay for what they use and do not need to commit to an annual license. Charges will be reflected in the customers' monthly mobile business plans.
"With BES12, BlackBerry is uniquely positioned to combine an operator's device and data billing with customers' consumption of additional services. In an important economic hub like Singapore, we are excited to partner with M1 to bring our productive, secure and flexible business solution to more customers in a way that is very easy to deploy and manage," said Carl Wiese, President Global Sales of BlackBerry.
