Bedfordshire police trial new mobile devices before abandoning Blackberry

Bedfordshire's Police and Crime Commissioner has approved a pilot of new mobile technology and tablet computers, where forces across the region will be trialling three different devices.

In similar news, a recent report by the London Assembly's Budget and Performance Committee said that crime in London is higher because of ineffective and expensive technology being used by the Metropolitan Police.

The report recommended that the forces should be taking advantage of recent developments in technology, including mobile devices.
