The Australian Securities Exchange is investigating an outage on its web site that left some without access to daily company announcements throughout Tuesday morning.
The web site went down at 8.20am AEST, before the market opened, and the issue was resolved by 12.08pm, the ASX said in a statement.
"The issue has not disrupted normal market trading or the publishing of company announcements. Market data vendors have continued to receive and broadcast information to the market," a spokeswoman said.
She said the technical glitch had affected only the ASX web site.
Throughout the morning, the ASX was still transmitting market data and traders could access data and information through the usual third-party feeds and trader desktop software.
Before the issues were resolved, the spokeswoman said the problem was related to "our ability to upload that dynamic information on our web site".
"Trading commenced at 10am as usual. The market is currently trading fully informed," the spokeswoman said.
"At this stage, ASX is confident it is an internal technical issue."
The cause of the outage would be investigated, the ASX said.
