'A tailored experience is absolutely key' in mobile banking: Fiserv

Banks today need to realise that mobile is not just a complementary service channel but a game changer, says Nick Wilde of Fiserv.

Like any channel, banks must ensure they have a complete understanding of the landscape and the controls necessary to prevent fraud and process transactions securely. They also must ensure they have robust processes in place which can detect and prevent malicious activity.

Potential security measures for mobile apps include using authentication for every interaction; using encryption for all transactions; and having mechanisms in place such as transaction validation and transaction reconciliation.
