Watch Aston Kutcher as Steve Jobs in awkward jOBS movie trailer

Karen Haslam | June 25, 2013
We really hope that the film turns out to be better than this embarrassingly bad trailer.

The trailer then cuts to ten years later when "Apple is in jeopardy" and Jobs, who appears to have been transformed by a trip to India, reads a letter from abandoned daughter Lisa.

Now it's time for him to "make Apple cool again" and he shows a sketch of the iMac. Then the "Here's to the crazy ones" monolog starts up, which Kutcher delivers with a catch in his throat (pass the sick bags again). The trailer closes with the hilarious joke of Jobs and Woz sitting in a car trying to come up with a name for Apple. We're still laughing, not.

We really hope that the film turns out to be better than the trailer.

If not, no fear, Sony is also working on a Steve Jobs movie based on Walter Isaacson's official biography. The book has been adapted into a screenplay by The Social Network's Aaron Sorkin, and is expected to make its way to our screens later this year.

If you can't wait to watch the Aaron Kutcher version, why not watch this Steve Jobs spoof made by "Funny or Die". The script for that 78-minute film was apparently written in three days and shot in five.

Or try and track down a copy of 'Pirates of Silicon Valley'. That's worth a watch if you've never seen it. (And you can even rent it on iTunes now - we sure that wasn't previously possible!)
