The HTC One Mini will be available on a total of seven 24 month plans, and three 12 month plans. The hero offer appears to be no monthly handset repayments on Vodafone's $65 'Red' plan, which includes unlimited calls, SMS and MMS messages and 1.5GB of data per month for $65.
The One Mini is also available on Vodafone's $50 and $60 non-Red plans with no monthly handset repayments, and can be paired with the 12 month $100 Red plan for no extra cost.
In addition to the One Mini, Vodafone will also sell a new version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone with Cat 4 LTE from today.
The LTE Category 4 mobile data standard is the newest and fastest class of 4G and will handle download speeds up to a theoretical maximum of 150Mbps.
Current 4G devices can only handle 100Mbps, over LTE Category 3.
Vodafone's general manager of devices, Katie Turkal, said the Samsung Galaxy S4 with 4G Cat 4 smartphone will allow Vodafone customers to access LTE Category 4 network speeds in various parts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
The Galaxy S4 with 4G Cat 4 is available for $5 a month on Vodafone's $65 'Red' plan, but won't attract a monthly handset repayment on the $80 and $100 Red plans.
The HTC One Mini is available to pre-order through Vodafone's Web site from today, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 with 4G Cat 4 is on sale now through Vodafone stores, Vodafone's e-Store and Vodafone's call centre.
