Users don't want gigabit Internet speeds, Time Warner Cable exec says

A Time Warner Cable executive says that the company's customers haven't displayed any interest in blazingly fast Internet connections, much less gigabit speeds.

So gigabit Ethernet may not yet be all it's cracked up to be. It's clear that U.S. ISPs and the federal government need to improve broadband infrastructure across the country, but for the immediate moment, Time Warner Cable's position on gigabit Ethernet may not be as crazy as it seems.
