Telecommunications giant, Telstra, has been awarded the Business Service Innovation award at the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award 2013 for its Telstra T-MDM solution.
The Telstra T-MDM solution bundles the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution from mobile security and Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) vendor, AirWatch, with Telstra's voice and data services.
T-MDM provides businesses the ability to enrol mobile devices in their business environment, configure and update device settings over-the-air, enforce security policies and compliance, secure mobile access to corporate resources, and remotely lock and wipe managed devices.
Telstra business mobility director, Tim Webber, said the awards recognise projects that are designed to celebrate collaboration between operators and vendors.
"We are always looking to provide our customers with reliable and complete mobility solutions across carriage services, device management and applications. Partnering with AirWatch has allowed us to offer an integrated solution to our customers that utilises a flexible Cloud-hosted solution," he said.
The solution is a component of how Telstra addresses corporate requirements to support Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) adoption. "Telstra is an innovator by being devoted to strengthening their customers' delivery of mobility strategies through T-MDM," AirWatch A/NZ director, Rob Roe, said.
