The National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) is collaborating with the Korea Association of ICT Promotion (KAIT) to encourage new industry alliances with Malaysian companies to tackle markets in Malaysia as well as Southeast Asia.
Both ICT industry bodies are organising a Korea-Malaysia ICT Partnership programme, which is supported by Malaysian government ICT agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), on 29 and 30 September at Plug and Play, The Gardens South Tower, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.
"The Malaysian ICT Market and other countries in the Southeast Asia region continue to enjoy robust growth in recent years and will continue to do so in the next few years. KAIT is keen to tap into these growth areas and have been taking the proactive approach to organise ICT missions in the last few years to Malaysia and the region," said a statement from PIKOM. "This year again, KAIT will organise One-on-one Business Matching meetings where a delegation of close to 30 Korean ICT companies and interested Malaysian ICT companies chosen through a matching process will meet for discussion and explore possible collaboration for the Malaysia, Asean and Middle East markets."
"We are very pleased with past programmes and look forward to greater partnerships between Korean and Malaysian ICT companies in working with world-class solutions for the Malaysian, Asean and Middle East markets" said KAIT president/chief executive officer, HWANG, Joong Yeon.
The South Korean delegation comprises companies in categories that include digital broadcasting, digital electronics, networking solutions, software, security and mobile technology solutions.
In addition to MDeC, other strategic partners include MAD Incubator and Go To Market Advisory (G2M).
