The new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 will be offered with a range of attractive new 4G Mobile Broadband data plans that feature SingTel’s premium WiFi service.

Apple's flagship tablets, the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, will be available in Singapore today at all SingTel stores.

According to the local telco's media statement, the new iPads will be offered with a range of attractive new 4G Mobile Broadband data plans that feature SingTel's premium WiFi service. This means that in addition to their 4G data bundles, customers will enjoy unlimited high-speed WiFi usage until 31 July 2015.

Subsequently, all 4G Mobile Broadband plans will come with 2GB of WiFi data allowance.

In its media statement, the telco promises that its WiFi network will deliver five times faster connectivity than the average free public WiFi services. It added that by March 2015, approximately 1,000 hotspots at more than 100 locations across the island will have been deployed, and these numbers are expected to double by March 2016.

SingTel also said that it is the first telco in Singapore to offer the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 with a monthly tablet top-up payment plan. All available plans will include a top-up payment of S$15 per month in addition to the monthly subscription rate. SingTel explained that this will help ease the upfront cost of purchasing an iPad and is conveniently payable through the phone bill.
