The SingTel Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Samsung focused on driving next-generation mobile communication, infotainment and technology services in Asia, the telco announced today.
The collaboration is built around SingTel Group scale and Samsung's innovative products and services.
The SingTel Group and Samsung partnership will commence this month with joint projects beginning from the fourth quarter this year.
According to a statement by SingTel, both parties will offer applications and digitial services to customers of SingTel Group companies, including Advanced Info Service (Thailand), Airtel, Globe Telecom (Philippines), Optus (Australia), SingTel (Singapore) and Telkomsel (Indonesia).
The SingTel Group will also work with Samsung to identify opportunities for joint launches and marketing campaigns of key Samsung device announcements.
"Not only will our companies mutually benefit, but our combined 400 million mobile customers will be able to take advantage of the unique offerings that will be provided in the future," said Mark Chong, CEO International, SingTel Group Consumer.
