MoneyMax Financial Services (MoneyMax) -- a Singapore-based pawnbroker, retailer and trader of pre-owned jewellery and watches -- has launched an online platform called MoneyMax Online to appeal to tech-savvy shoppers.

MoneyMax Online allows customers to shop for secondhand items ranging from watches to jewellery through the use of a web browser or a mobile app on their smartphones.

Users can also use the website to sell their used items. To do so, users simply need to upload a photo of the item and wait for the item's indicative appraised value, which is delivered within one business day. Thereafter, users can decide whether to sell the item at any of MoneyMax's 38 outlets located across Singapore. Currently, MoneyMax Online is only available to users in Singapore. However, the company has plans to extend it to customers elsewhere in the future.

"MoneyMax Online will lay the foundation of growth for the company. It will further strengthen our promise on delivering great customer experience and allows us to reach out to a wider pool of customers," said Peter Lim, executive chairman and chief executive officer of MoneyMax.

MoneyMaxOnline can be accessed via www.moneymax.com.sg or the mobile app, which is currently only compatible with Android phones. MoneyMax said that the app will be made available on iPhones by the end of this month.
