'Reinventing productivity' high on agenda for Microsoft Malaysia's new CMO

Microsoft Malaysia's new chief marketing & operations officer (CM&OO) Michal Golebiewski, who will lead the marketing and operations business in the country, will include supporting Microsoft's 'reinventing productivity' vision in a mobile-first, cloud-first world, said the productivity and cloud solutions company.

Golebiewski, who has led various divisions within the marketing and operations team over the last 19 years in Microsoft Poland and Romania, and who was CM&OO in Microsoft Romania, will report to K Raman, managing director of Microsoft Malaysia. 

A Microsoft statement said that Golebiewski will also play a key leadership role in directing and managing the overall business and marketing strategy as well as execution in Malaysia, overseeing product marketing groups, marketing communications, compete, business operations, enterprise marketing, public relations as well as customer and partner experience efforts.

"After five wonderful years in Romania, where I was able to work with great people and drove the subsidiary's transformation to the Cloud - it's now time to take the next step, to take on new challenges in other areas and market conditions. I'm very excited to be in Malaysia to continue transforming the business, to deliver results and develop people while driving revenue, reaching customers with right business values and increasing the Cloud and Devices market share," said Golebiewski.

"Golebiewski brings a wealth of experience in the areas of marketing and operations, which is vital for the subsidiary as we strive for greater productivity within a Cloud-driven era. Coupled with an inclusive management style and a 'can do' attitude, I am confident that he'll be able to take on any challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, leading the subsidiary to greater heights," said Raman.
