Red Hat launched today its Virtual Training Programme for Asia Pacific to help bring online training and real-time courses on Red Hat technologies to customers, partners and IT professionals.
According to a media statement, this new initiative aims to make training on Red Hat's open source technology more accessible by eliminating the limitation of having to travel training in a single location. Additionally, it also allows the training of more people to help them better prepare to meet the requirements for Red Hat certification.
"The Virtual Training Programme was designed in response to customer requests to help them overcome challenges of physical training facilities and offerings, including timing and training locations," said Sachin Sridhar, Senior Director, Pre-Sales and Services, Red Hat Asia Pacific. "It offers a new channel of training delivery model to meet the schedules of our customers who see the value of Red Hat training, but want flexibility to take training outside of physical classrooms on their own schedule."
Users may choose from a wide array of remote courses in Red Hat's products and solutions for operating system management, administration, application integration and maximisation, virtualisation, hybrid cloud development, and more.
These courses are currently available in English for Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN, Hong Kong and India. By next year, it will also be available in Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese for Japan, Korea and China markets.
To access the virtual training, participants need to install a programme on their computers. After completing the courses, participants can visit the offices of a Red Hat authorised training partner in their country to sit for Red Hat certification exams. Red Hat also offers an online compatibility testing tool, so students can test their systems to ensure their systems and Internet access meet the requirements to have a good classroom and lab experience.
In conjunction with the launch, Red Hat is offering a special discount of 25 percent in Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN, Hong Kong and India for all students who attend Red Hat's virtual training from December 2015 to February 2016.
