Consumers in Singapore can now sell their old mobile devices easily through Brightstar Corp's online mobile and tablet trade-in platform, Bounce Mobile.

All they have to do is to head to the website to assess the value of their used devices and complete the check-out process. A customer representative will then contact them to confirm a time and venue to pick up the device for free. Within three days after the pick-up, the payment for the device will be transferred to the customer's bank or PayPal account.

With the aim of protecting the environment, Bounce Mobile will refurbish the used phones and then ship them to emerging markets to be sold at affordable prices. Bounce Mobile also ensures that harmful components of the old mobile phones will be disposed of properly during the refurbishing process.

"We are now providing an easy solution that allows mobile consumers to make money from their used devices and protect the environment at the same time," said Russell Cohen, regional managing director of Asia for Brightstar Corp.

Bounce Mobile uses Brightstar Corp.'s Mobile Phone Xchange proprietary Web pricing and trade-in processing platform, to correctly value used mobile phones.

Currently, Bounce Mobile accepts devices from Apple, Samsung, BlackBerry, Nokia, Sony, LG, HTC, Motorola, and Huawei.
