NEXTDC has placed sixth in the Deloitte tech fast 500 for the Asia Pacific region.
The datacentre provider was the highest ranked of two Australian firms in the top 10. Ninth place went to online takeaway and food delivery company, Eat Now Services.
NEXTDC chief executive, Craig Scroggie, said the achievement was a win for Australian innovation.
"It sends a clear signal to the entire region that an independent, locally based technology company can compete with the best on the world stage. We have been waving the tech flag for Australia since 2010, and we are now incredibly proud to have achieved this level of growth for our customers, partners and shareholders."
The accolade comes after NEXTDC was recently named the fastest growing tech company in Australia by Deloitte.
The top ten was dominated by Chinese companies, with five representatives. Two representatives each from Australia and South Korea and one from India. Top spot went to Korean app developer, Daum Kakao Corp, makers of South Korea's most used mobile messaging app.
