New Windows 10 TP build adds Windows Phone Action Center

Juan Carlos Perez | Oct. 23, 2014
Build 9860 of Windows 10 adds new notifications capabilities via the Action Center, as well as the ability to sign up for more frequent build updates

Testers may also see user interface issues in Internet Explorer and the Start menu, and some PCs may have trouble shifting to sleep mode. And those who like to play Microsoft Solitaire and Mahjong while they test Windows 10 Technical Preview may find those games won't launch. Also, when using two external monitors over Display Link, undocking may trigger a blue screen.

Aul devoted a part of the blog post to explain to testers that just because they don't see changes that have been suggested doesn't mean they have been discarded by Microsoft. "To date you've sent us over 250,000 pieces of feedback through the Windows Feedback tool, 25,381 community forum posts, and 641 suggestions in the Windows Suggestion Box. Every day we work through the latest round of feedback and incorporate that into our engineering process," he wrote.

Builds progress through a series of tester "rings," the first three of which are made up of internal Microsoft employees. The fourth ring is the "fast" group of the Windows Insider Program testers, and the fifth is the "slow" group.
