New software helps business in growing markets

Software has functionalities based on business models from Asian economies.

Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) wanting to tap into the opportunities in the Asia Pacific region can benefit from a business management software that is especially focused on business practices in the region.

Hong Kong-listed Kingdee International Software (KIS) Group is offering the Kingdee KIS International, an integrated management software with functions that allow SMEs to do business with other business in the Asia Pacific region and even globally.

The functionalities that Kingdee KIS International has include accounting, supply chain management, reports and statements checking, and multi-currency accounting, among others.

Kingdee said the Kingdee KIS software particularly targets enterprises keen in doing business in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Asia Pacific and global markets - economies from which management models were derived and incorporated into the software.

The software can help companies understand the different accounting guidelines, taxation requirements, and business management models to help them seize opportunities in some of the growing markets in the globally economy.

"Different regions have different accounting requirements. If one wants to enter the Asian and global markets, he must have a good understanding of the taxation requirement, business management models, accounting guidelines, etc. Kingdee KIS is the software which can provide the IT solution for the above requirements," said Young Wo Sang, convener, Internet Security and Privacy Working Group, Internet Society Hong Kong.

The software is particularly designed to help SMEs expand their business by working with regional and global companies.

"Kingdee KIS has been extremely popular in mainland China. As China has overtaken Japan as the world's second largest economy, and the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and other emerging countries in the world are exhibiting greater importance, on the whole, the world is filled with business opportunities. As a result, overseas enterprises in all industries are eager to have a share in the China, Asia and emerging markets," said Karen Ji, assistant president and general manager of International Business Service Business Unit and general manager, Hong Kong, Kingdee International Software Group.

The new software comes in three language versions used in the target markets -- English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

Kingdee said SMEs will find the software easy to use with customisable features.

Kingdee International specialises in enterprise management software and e-commerce services.
