Kroll Ontrack expands into the country to address growth of need for data recovery services

Kroll Ontrack has set up a new cleanroom facility in Singapore, the data recovery and information management services company announced today.

According to Kroll Ontrack, the expansion into Singapore is attributed to the increase in data loss and data management needs.

"We have seen a steady increase in enterprise data recovery and management needs from across Asia in recent years," said CK Lee, country manager for Hong Kong and Singapore at Kroll Ontrack

The new cleanroom will cater to the supposed 90 percent growth in data recovery centres in Singapore. It will be able to handle Apple devices, RAID, virtualisation and enterprise recovery projects.

The facility will accommodate growth over time, and the infrastructure will support emerging solutions and products, according to the statement

"Data loss is often caused by human error and we would advise all businesses to evaluate their backup systems, data libraries and also their plans in the event of a data failure," Lee added.
