The recent 23rd installment in the James Bond franchise, Skyfall, starred Daniel Craig and co-starred his trusted technology sidekick the Xperia V.
According to an announcement by Sony Mobile today, the smartphone will be made available via all Singapore mobile operators on Saturday 8 December.
The phone features a 13 megapixel camera and a 720p HD front camera, 1.5GHz dual core processor and LTE capabilities.
Sony Mobile also claims the gadget has the highest level of water resistance a smartphone can endure. With its IP57 rating, the Xperia V is said to be protected against immersion of 1cm to 15cm for 30 minutes.
Available in black or white, the Android phone will come preloaded with version 4.0.4, better known as Ice Cream Sandwich. However, the phone will be upgraded to Jelly Bean from mid Q1 of 2013, according to the announcement.
James Bond also used limited edition silver K800 and K790 Cyber-shot camera phones in the 2006 remake of "Casino Royale".
