NEC commits 5 million Japanese yen for typhoon victims

NEC pledges support for recovery from Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines

Along with Fuji Xerox, another Japanese corporation, NEC, has announced monetary support for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The leader in the integration of IT and network technologies  announced Thursday (21 Nov) that it would donate funds totaling 5 million Japanese yen to help relief and recovery efforts in regions of the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

Additional fund-raising activities will also take place among NEC Group employees, the company said in a brief statement.

"The NEC Group and its employees express their sincere condolences for those personally impacted by the typhoon and hope for the fast recovery of the people and areas affected by the disaster," the company said in its statement.
