Following this achievement, Napier Healthcare said it is now focused on helping providers achieve high accessibility, quality and affordability of healthcare for all Singaporeans.

Healthcare technology and services provider, Napier Healthcare, announced today that the company's Hospital Information System (HIS), Version 2.1 has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition Complete EHR Certification, conferred by ICSA Labs.

This certification is granted to those technologies that are capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to demonstrate Stage 2 Meaningful Use, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely.

According to a media statement, Napier Healthcare is the first Singapore and Asia-based healthcare information technology company to achieve this certification.

Deployable on a cloud platform, Napier Healthcare's HIS solution is a modular, scalable and integrated system that supports critical care hospital functions including clinical, administration, financials and patient management. It is built to empower hospitals with the tools they need to help enhance operational efficiencies, reduce medical errors and heighten the quality of care and patient experience.

"Leveraging technology to enhance the provision of healthcare across the continuum of care, higher cost efficiencies, better patient outcomes, which is what meeting Meaningful Use certification criteria goes a long way to enforce, is also the touchstone to the success of national healthcare agendas," said Tirupathi Karthik, CEO, Napier Healthcare.

"That is why we believe that as the first healthcare technology and services provider in Singapore to meet this rigorous qualification, we are very well positioned to empower the delivery of objectives spelled out in Singapore's Healthcare 2020 master plan - of enhancing accessibility, quality and affordability of healthcare for Singapore citizens," he added.
