Infrastructure virtualisation, security and data storage distributor, MPA Systems, has added US-based virtualisation data protection provider, Nakivo.
Under the agreement, MPA will distribute Nakivo's Backup and Replication to its network of resellers.
MPA sales manager, Matt Goodman, said Nakivo will be suited to the VMware market. It deals with about 500 active resellers on an annual basis.
"In the first year, we're looking to put on up to 100 partners," Goodman said. "With Nakivo Backup & Replication we're able to deliver a feature rich solution that enables the protection and recovery of VMs locally, offsite, and with public clouds."
Nakivo Backup & Replication offers a complete data protection feature set for virtualized environments, including intuitive Web 2.0 UI, local and offsite VM backup and replication, file level recovery from local, remote, and cloud backups, support for live applications and databases, deduplication, compression, encryption, and advanced reporting.
In other news, the distributor has also officially appointed Michael Crocombe as its NSW sales manager.
Crocombe previously worked for Infotronics and Ultra Serve, and ran his own VXL thin clients distribution business called Thin Systems, which was bought by MPA.
