Microsoft has executed the next phase of its business expansion plans, introducing its Surface portfolio to its New Zealand channel via three partners.
Effective today, the resellers which will stock the product set are Cyclone Computers, New Era, and Telco Technology Services (TTS).
In addition to selling Surface and offering Microsoft's extended warranty and accidental damage cover, the companies will offer a variety of value-added services, including asset tagging, custom imaging, kitting, onsite service and support, device recycling, and data protection.
As Surface reseller, the three partners will also join Microsoft's Devices Program, which is a newly-established, two-tier initiative for the designated group of device-authorised commercial resellers in NZ.
"The addition of these authorised resellers is a continuation of Microsoft's devices-and-services strategy, and extends our Surface family of devices, enabled by Cloud services, to more organisations," Microsoft NZ SMB and partner group director, Brent Kendrick, said.
"We look forward to working closely with these partners to better serve their commercial customers."
Kendrick also said Microsoft will add more partners to its Surface reseller network in the future.
This phase follows a series of business-channel expansion announcement made by Microsoft beginning in the US on July 1, and extending starting October 1 to all 29 markets worldwide, according to a statement.
Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand are the other markets to have gained commercial channel availability for the Surface portfolio in this phase of the rollout.
