Four new authorised resellers in Singapore have come onboard the Microsoft Devices Program as part of Microsoft's expansion plans for the Surface family of PCs. The resellers are AsiaPac Distribution, Dimension Data, SoftwareOne, and UIC Asian Computer Services.

The Microsoft Devices Program is part of a two-tier programme that enables specific device-authorised distributors to sell Surface to a newly-designated group of device-authorised commercial resellers.

Under the programme, resellers will offer Microsoft's extended warranty and accidental damage, as well as value-added services including asset tagging, custom imaging, kitting, onsite service and support, device recycling, and data protection.

Aside from Singapore, Microsoft has also welcomed new authorised resellers from Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan to the programme. This extends Microsoft's presence to a total of 29 markets globally.

"The addition of these authorised resellers expands the reach of the Microsoft devices-and-services strategy, extending the company's family of devices enabled by cloud services to more organisations," said Joy Quek, head, Windows Client Division, Microsoft Singapore. She added that the company plans to "activate more partners in more markets to sell Surface devices" in time to come.
