According to Malaysia's ICT agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), industry veteran Michael Warren has returned as the vice president of the shared services and outsourcing (SSO) cluster.

Warren, who served in the same capacity with MDeC from April 2012 to August 2013, recently left his role as country president of Fujitsu Malaysia in order to pursue nation building activities.

"Michael was and still remains a natural fit for MDeC, as his strong credentials and industry track record makes him the right leader to continue expanding the nation's footprint in the global SSO industry," said MDeC chief executive officer, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali. "I look forward to working closely with Michael in driving the country's national agenda while continuing to further advance and uplift businesses, Government and its citizens."

Warren will continue to attract foreign direct investments and jobs into MSC [Multimedia Supercorridor] Malaysia SSO cluster, particularly in the high-value Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO), as well as nurture local outsourcers to become globally competitive.

His career, which spans 25 years with various multinationals in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region, includes both country and regional positions at Getronics, Keppel Group, Sampoerna Group and Logica.
