Malaysian government ICT agency Multimedia Development Corporation together with the National ICT Association of Malaysia, PIKOM has announced the Malaysian leg of its 15th iteration of the regional Multimedia Supercorridor (MSC) Malaysia Asia Pacific Information & Communications Technology Alliance awards [APICTA] 2014.is open for nominations from 1 April 2014.
A statement said nominations must be submitted online by the last day, which is 30 June 2014.
During a previous APICTA cycle, MDeC chief executive officer, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, said, "APICTA underlines our commitment to promote locally developed innovative ICT applications," said Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) chief executive officer, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, during last year's announcement. "We look forward to more entrepreneurs taking advantage of this platform to showcase the Malaysian product's critical acclaim and marketability - all these are crucial steps towards a high-income economy."
The 2013 APICTA Awards saw an increase in submissions compared to last year, attracting in 345 submissions, said the organisers with 17 individual category winners and 18 merit recipients recognised within their respective categories which included 'Best of e-Learning', 'Best of Media & Entertainment' and 'Best of Start-up companies'
MSC Malaysia Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA) is an international Awards Programme, aimed at providing a platform for individuals, students, SMEs, innovators and entrepreneurs in the ICT industry, to show their products and services and grab the opportunity to compete at the international level.
