Maybank Singapore has updated its mobile banking app to make it easier for its customers to transfer funds and make payments via their mobile phones.
According to the bank's press statement, the new app enables customers to easily and quickly transfer funds using a single password, following a one-time set up. Users can also customise the app to feature frequently used services, such as bill payments and account summaries, on the home screen of the app. This saves them the hassle of searching for such functions through a menu to access them.
To cater to the social media savvy customer segment, the new app contains a feature that allows users to receive the latest Facebook feeds detailing Maybank's most recent offers. Users can also forward the promotions to friends and family members via social media and instant messaging platforms.
Choong Wai Hong, head of community financial services at Maybank Singapore, said that the updates will help enhance the bank's brand and increase the usage of Maybank's products and services. "The new updates will give Maybank the opportunity to raise the bar and provide our mobile banking customers with best-in-class services to further enhance their ability to bank on-the-move."
Developed by Singapore-based mobile solutions company Tagit, Maybank's new mobile banking app is also equipped with enterprise grade security, enabling secure transactions to take place across devices. The app is now available for download through Apple's App Store and Google Play.
