Malaysian Web and cloud hosting provider Exabytes Network hopes to add more than 800 eRetailers as the result of its acquisition of Hinetmedia eStore and Mall.
Exabytes Network (Exabytes) founder and chief executive officer Chan Kee Siak said the acquisition of Hinetmedia is part of Exabytes' commitment to provide greater online shoppers' experience and satisfaction, in respond to the maturing online shopping trend in ASEAN.
"Locally, Himall.my is an online shopping platform that has already been well received by merchants and shoppers via social media," said Chan, adding that Himall.my is an online shopping mall that carries more than 80,000 products from more than 800 local Malaysian merchants; while the Hinetmedia eStore offers eCommerce start up solutions for merchants such as domain set up, payment gateways, shopping cart systems, social marketing tools, website traffic management and more.
"Hinetmedia eStore has a uniquely rich variety of online merchandising features to support the complete eCommerce activity set-up," he said. "Acquiring Hinetmedia is a strategic decision in line with Exabytes' eCommerce expansion plan because it allows us to accelerate our market outreach time to new prospect retailers."
"We can also offer a more exciting experience to our existing shoppers with much more retail products; and at the same time, the eCommerce merchants will also have more channels and marketing alternatives to promote their products online," said Chan. "With the acquisition of Hinetmedia, Easy.my will be serving more than 10,000 eCommerce merchants selling more than 100,000 products online."
"By 2015, we are looking forward to recruit 20,000 more online merchants in line with market growth of social media and online retailing," he said.
Easy.my is hosted on Exabytes' system and provides an integrated platform where it automates and streamlines the back office processes to enable merchants and customers to more effectively manage orders, inventory, accounting, marketing and more.
