The national ICT industry association of Malaysia, PIKOM, held its 26th annual general meeting recently, which included the re-election of Woon Tai Hai for a second term as chairman as well as its team of councillors.

During the AGM on 8 November 2012, the incumbent chairman, Woon Tai Hai, will lead the association for the 2012/2013 term, according to a statement from PIKOM.

"Our first order of business for the new Council term 2012/2013 is to co-opt additional Council members to serve alongside the elected Councillors. This will ensure a representation from all sectors of the industry are included in the incoming Council", said Woon.

"Once the entire team is in place, I plan to hold a session with the Council to chart our next five years," he said. "The current five-year plan comes to an end in 2012 and it is timely we take stock and strategise for the next phase of growth and development."

The newly elected Councillors (pictured above) will be joined by four existing Councillors who are serving a two-year term from 2011-2013.
