Singapore telecom company M1 and local banking giant DBS Bank have jointly launched DBS One.Tap, the telco announced today.

One.Tap is Singapore's first virtual credit card on a Near Field Communications-enabled (NFC) mobile phone, the telco said in a statement.

According to M1, customers who have the M1 NFC service and DBS/POSB credit card will be able to activate DBS One.Tap. They can use it to make secured purchases and payments on the go.

The customers can avail this service at over 30,000 MasterCard Paypass acceptance points islandwide.

The DBS One.Tap is the latest addition to M1's growing suite of NFC services that were first launched in August 2012, said the telco.

Existing M1 NFC and DBS/POSB credit card customers can apply for DBS One.Tap through DBS/POSB iBanking or mBanking. Once approved, they can download the virtual card via the M1 Mobile Wallet App.
