LinkedIn mobile phone app gets a new design.
Users can now personalise the navigation page.
Users using the LinkedIn mobile phone app might have noticed that the app has recently received a makeover.
The revamped app makes it easier for users to receive relevant and timely insights as well as discover and engage in discussions.
This update responds to the growth in users using the LinkedIn mobile app. In 2012, an average of 27 percent of LinkedIn's unique visitors came through mobile apps, versus just 15 percent a year ago.
Three components of the update are:
- A new design that improves better user interaction throughout the app;
- Personalised navigation page. Users can add shortcuts for their favourite tools to their navigation page to always keep them informed and connected; and
- A more visual stream of updates, news and original posts from influencers. The new stream also allows users to join and engage in conversations on LinkedIn by liking or commenting without leaving the update stream.
The new LinkedIn mobile phone app is available for Android phone and iPhones in 15 languages.
