Printing and imaging solutions firm Lexmark International holds 'Print Less, Save More' summit in Kuala Lumpur to advise Malaysian companies how to save up to 40 percent on printing costs.

The event held on 1 December 2011 was to educate Malaysian business leaders on the hidden costs of document output and to suggest smart solutions, said Lexmark Malaysia acting country manager Larry Leow.

"Know the importance of having managed print output," said Leow. "A system that can monitor printing activity and identify potential cost savings can achieve savings of up to 40 per cent.

Wastage is more common than you think because as many as 67 percent of organisations have unmanaged print output. Worse, in an indiscriminate printing environment, as many as one in six pages is discarded unread."

"Less expenditure on printing resources equals less expenditure of company revenue, which equals more profit!" he said. "It's easier than ever to go green. Track printing output down to the last sheet to control wastage. Companies can even reward prudent use of printing resources to motivate green behaviour."

"Keep in mind Lexmark's Managed Print Solutions cost savings philosophy: The lowest cost per page is the page that was never printed," added Leow.
