Leveraging smart mapping technology to ensure global food security

A student from the National University of Singapore (NUS) has bagged the 2016 Esri Young Scholar Award for his innovative use of Geographic Information System.

The annual nationwide competition is run by Esri to recognise the creative use of smart mapping technology to solve commercial and community issues. The award recognises the work of current undergraduate and graduate students majoring in geospatial science disciplines at international universities.
