Lenovo Malaysia has launched the new ThinkStation P300 for performance-minded professionals and mission-critical work, said the computer manufacturer.
During the Lenovo First Look event, Khoo Hung Chuan, country general manager of Lenovo Malaysia, said the ThinkStation P300 was an entry-level workstation with a redesigned chassis for easier carrying and deployment.
"The new Lenovo P300 delivers workstation performance and graphics demanded by design engineers engaged in advanced 3D mechanical designs and workloads," said Khoo. "Now professional users who may have previously purchased a desktop client with hard drives can afford a real workstation with advanced graphics and solid state drives.
He said the new FLEX module offered users the option to add only the components they need, allowing customised productivity-boosting configurations with added cost savings for vertical workflows.
The FLEX module supports a combination of a slim optical drive, 29-in-1 media card reader, Firewire (IEEE 1394), External Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (eSATA), said Khoo.
In addition, he announced "a unique collaboration with Camwerk Studios, a studio with the technical, creative and production capabilities."
Camwerk Studios' director, Firdee Aqasha, said: "Lenovo's ThinkStations bring all-round value, providing reliability and performance to the various works we do. As a creative studio, we need a machine that is able to run various applications whilst performing optimally and the Lenovo ThinkStations have definitely impressed us."
