That's also why we've seen yet another busy week for leaked Apple components, with golden iPhone 5S back casings, a blue iPhone 5C, the rear shell of an iPad 5 and a durability test of the iPhone 5C 's casing all emerging online within the past seven days.
Here, we round up the photographs and videos of the new leaked images.
Gold iPhone 5S shell
You may have heard that the iPhone 5S is expected to be available in a new gold colour option, in addition to the white and black models.
Initially, photographs of the purported gold iPhone were rather blingy, but new photographs show the rear shell of what is allegedly an iPhone 5S with a much more elegant tone, as predicted by AllThingsD.
The new photos, published by Japanese blog Ascii and AppAdvice, show what is believed to be the rear shell of the gold iPhone 5S alongside the black and white models for comparison.
The photos from AppAdvice also show a larger space for the rumoured dual-LED flash, too.
iPhone 5C in all five colours
An unboxing video and photographs of the iPhone 5C from Best Tech Info claims to show all five of the iPhone 5C's colours: white, blue, yellow, red and green.
Tactus also published photos of a blue iPhone 5C back casing this week.
Note, there is no black model shown, despite photos of a black back casing arriving earlier in the week. It's expected that the photos of the black iPhone 5C could be fake, though.
iPhone 5C scratch test
Taiwan's Apple Daily has this week published a video of what it claims is the iPhone 5C being put to the test to see how durable and scratch resistant it is.
Good news is that the iPhone 5C fairs well in the tests, and is apparently made from a reinforced plastic material that will protect it from everyday wear and tear.
iPad 5 rear shell
Even though the iPad 5 is not expected to be unveiled at the 10 September special event, photos of what appears to be the rear shell of the device were published this week.
French site Nowhereelse.fr shared the images, which correspond with previous reports that suggest the iPad 5 will have a thinner, lighter designer akin to the iPad mini.
