The Mac world never stops turning and sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day to write about all the fun and facinating stories that break about our favourite technology company. Here are a few of the stories we haven't had time to cover.

This weeks most surprising Apple patent development is for sensors that are embedded into footwear and tell you when it is time to buy some new shoes.

Apple describes the technology as "Shoe wear-out sensor, body-bar sensing system, unitless activity assessment and associated methods."

We are sure that Apple has something up its sleeve with regards to wearable technology, but we were expecting a watch or glasses.
