Ireland-based real-time transaction management software firm Openet has opened a new Operations Monitoring Centre in Malaysia, as part of its continuing expansion in South America, North America, Africa and EMEA. The expansion reflects Openet's growing employee numbers, comprehensive service offering and global customer base, said the firm.

Speaking on 14 November 2012, Openet chief operating officer Juliana Su said that the Kuala Lumpur based Operations Monitoring Centre delivers long term 24x7 monitoring and support of Openet system deployments worldwide, ensuring ongoing network health monitoring and real-time response to any issues.

"The personnel expansion in Africa, Europe and North and South America, ensures strong continued support of Openet's expanding customer base within those regions," said Su.

"Openet's business is growing worldwide," said she said. "This expansion reflects our continued commitment to a growth strategy that enables operators to meet evolving infrastructure and service needs."

Su added that after Malaysia, Openet's largest personnel expansion is in Brazil. "Operations there have moved to a new regional headquarters in Sao Paulo. In addition, Openet has added more than 15,000 sq ft of additional office space at their corporate headquarters in Dublin to manage a rapidly growing employee base."

Since the introduction of mobile data services in 1998, Openet helps more than 80 service providers in 28 countries with software solutions to form business models around networking smartphones, M2M devices and third party services.
