INTERPOL World has partnered private-sector security solutions providers to launch a Strategic Partners Programme, which aims to jointly develop solutions to address real-world security challenges faced by global police organisations, government agencies and the private sector.
Throughout the year, stakeholders across the public and private sectors, international organisations and various security domain experts will come together to identify current and future security challenges, and design innovative solutions to address these challenges.
These solutions will then be presented to INTERPOL's 190 member countries, expert panels - comprising international organisations and key decision makers in government and police organisations - as well as security professionals in the private sector.
This presentation will take place at the Expo and Congress of INTERPOL World, an event organised by INTERPOL and supported by the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs. Held from 14 to 16 April 2015 in Singapore, this inaugural event will focus on four domains: cybersecurity, safe cities, border management, and supply chain security.
In its media statement, Interpol said that the solutions shared at the event will be analysed and then customised to suit the security needs of the member countries; and in the long run, encourage greater cooperation between the public and private sectors, international organisations and academia to make the world a safer place.
