Intel has appointed Sumner Lemon as country manager for Malaysia and Singapore, who will be responsible for the semiconductor firm's sales and marketing activities in both countries.
Based in Singapore, Lemon will also manage strategic partnerships with the government and ecosystem partners to speed up technology adoption in the two countries.
"2014 has been a very exciting year for Intel in terms of innovation and product offerings and I am very excited at the prospect of working with the Malaysian and Singaporean teams to bring these solutions to market," said Lemon. "It is a privilege to have been appointed to this position and I am ready to build on the firm foundations laid by my predecessor."
Lemon joined Intel in 2010 as a corporate communications manager based in Singapore. For the last two and a half years, he was based in Hong Kong where he served as technical assistant and chief of staff to Gregory Bryant, general manager for Intel Asia Pacific and Japan.
Before Intel, Lemon, who is from the U.S., was a journalist, covering the technology industry in Taiwan, China and Southeast Asia.
