Dubai-based mobile apps provider, Info2cell.com, has partnered with telcos in Thailand to launch its business-to-consumer (B2C) services in the country.

The entry comes as a launchpad to tap into Southeast Asia's booming telco market, as part of its global expansion plans.

Bashar Dahabra, founder and chief executive of Info2cell.com, said the rapidly growing mobile market in Thailand represents opportunities to provide world-class apps, solutions and services.

"We are set to tap into Thailand by leveraging our proven B2C services such as quizzes, games, trivia and other SMS and online competitions across a massive potential subscriber base," he added.

According to the latest report from Gfk Retail and Technology, Thailand is set to see strong growth potential from smartphone uptake, with sales growing by 110 percent this year and smartphones to make up almost half of all phones sold by the end of this year.

The company aims to boost its first foray into the region with Thailand's vibrant and rapidly growing smartphone market.
