A tripartite agreement between IBM Malaysia, business partner AccelTeam with US-headquartered OpenSymmetry will help enhance sales performance management effectiveness in the country by transforming static transactional data into dynamic visualisation reporting.
Speaking in Kuala Lumpur, sales performance management firm OpenSymmetry managing director, Anthony Hutchins, said: "Combining our individual strengths to increase the sales performance management effectiveness of our clients will allow them to maximise revenue opportunities. Providing them with the understanding and education is the first step towards helping them."
Malaysian organisations could increase efficiency and flexibility in managing incentive compensation and sales performance with IBM's Incentive Compensation Management solution to plan, manage and measure sales performance, said IBM Malaysia general manager, software group, Hong Kok Cheong.
"Most companies today still use a combination of spreadsheets and manual processes, which are not capable of handling the complexities of modern sales incentive compensation programmes," said Hong. "We will deliver a comprehensive and smarter sales performance management solution to our clients here in this region, with OpenSymmetry's support".
He said IBM's performance management solutions help customers outperform by seeing, predicting, and shaping business outcomes across finance, operations, customer relations and now sales organisations.
"We are delighted to be able to partner with OpenSymmetry to give our clients the best combination of technology, strategy and implementation services to maximise return on their sales performance investments," said AccelTeam chief executive officer, Steven Yong. "Combining the expertise of our three organisations demonstrates our commitment to enable our clients here to enhance their end-to-end performance management".
Sales performance management (SPM) is currently used by pharmaceutical, telecommunications, retail, insurance and banking industries. Telstra, Covidien, BMW and Hertz are among the clients in this region.
