The glasses-free Evo 3D runs a 1.2GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor, putting it at the top end of processing power for today's smartphones. It has dual 5-megapixel cameras on the rear, making it possible to capture 3D images and videos.
A Sprint Evo 3D spec sheet shows that it has a stronger lithium-ion battery than many smartphones on the market, at 1730 mAh. It includes 4G of internal storage and a microSD card slot that can expand that capability to 32GB.
Sprint offers the Evo 3D service for $79.99 a month, which includes a $10 data add-on charge for smartphones. Mobile hotspot capability is the same as for the View -- $29.99 a month for up to eight Wi-Fi-ready devices.
Customers can order either device in advance with the purchase of a $50 gift card per device. Sales of the Evo 3D for Sprint Premier customers begins June 21, three days before it's available to other customers.
