HP has displayed its range of laptops, tablet, printers and accessories that will help Malaysian businesses and consumers to increase their productivity and mobility, said the technology solutions giant.

"The products we showcased today are inspired by our customers, and confirm our passion to fuse form, function, style and reliability into great computers and printers," said HP Malaysia printing and personal systems group's country general manager, Kim Dae Hwan.

"We are well positioned to continue delivering innovation in the future for customers in Malaysia and everywhere else around the globe," said Kim.

He said consumers could take advantage of two devices in one with the HP ENVY x2 ultrathin hybrid PC. "The hybrid laptop doubles as a tablet as it has a detachable screen that becomes a full tablet when separated from the keyboard via a seamless magnetic latch."

Now available in Malaysia, the hybrid laptop has an 11.6-inch diagonal high-definition (HD)  touch display, Beats Audio, an HD webcam plus an 8-megapixel camera, and near field communication (NFC) technology that lets users share content, including photos, contacts and URLs, with a simple tap, said Kim.

"In addition, the HP ElitePad 900  is a true tablet for businesses, with a beautiful design with enterprise-grade features such as the full serviceability, enhanced security and manageability found in HP Elite PCs," he said. "[The device] offers military-grade durability for drops, vibration, dust, temperature extremes and high altitude."

Kim also showed a touch-enabled laptop, the HP EliteBook Revolve, and "the world's fastest desktop printer, the HP Officejet Pro X , which delivers high-quality prints at up to twice the speed and half the printing cost of laser printers. This new class of device is powered by HP PageWide Technology, the next-generation inkjet platform that sets a new standard for small work team printing, producing high-quality documents at up to 70 pages per minute."

He said HP PageWide Technology delivered four colours of Original HP pigment ink at one time onto a moving sheet of paper. "As the paper moves, the printhead remains stationary, allowing the HP Officejet Pro X Series to print quickly and quietly. The standard 500-sheet main paper tray lets SMBs [small and medium businesses] save even more time with fewer printing interruptions."
