Called Honeywell Wearable Solution, it is a hands-free device that is specifically designed for warehouse operations, such as picking, packing and shipping.

Technology manufacturing company Honeywell unveiled today a hands-free wearable solution, which is aimed at driving efficiency, productivity and accuracy within a warehouse.

The new wearable device, called Honeywell Wearable Solution, is a hands-free, wrist-mounted version of the Dolphin 70e Black mobile device specifically designed for warehouse operations, such as picking, packing and shipping.

In its media statement, Honeywell describes this solution as a cost-effective option that allows the use of a general-purpose device for a wide variety of enterprise applications.

It added that the Honeywell Wearable Solution incorporates a combination of ergonomics, ruggedness and large screen size to empower workers with the hands-free convenience to handle more tasks with fewer disruptions to workflow.

"Distribution centre operators in Asia Pacific are looking for the most flexible, application-expandable and future-proofed solutions that are aligned with the changing needs of the industry," said Lynn Huang, APAC Head of Marketing and Strategy, Honeywell Scanning and Mobility. "With innovative technologies like wearable devices, Honeywell is able to deliver to both small and large customers based in the region the solutions that they need to remain competitive in a fast changing environment both today and into the future."

The Honeywell Wearable Solution will begin shipping in Asia Pacific this month.
