The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has identified another fraudulent website just days after it issued an alert for two suspected fraudulent websites that are operated by an alleged Fleet National Bank, Hong Kong.
According to the central banking authority, the website with the domain http://www.fmetal.hk/Backup/ would redirect its visitors to an official website related to French Bank BNP Paribas. BNP Paribas, however, has clarified that it has no connection with the fraudulent website.
HKMA advises anyone in Hong Kong who has provided his or her personal information to the fraudulent website, or has conducted any financial transactions though the website to contact BNP Paribas and any local police station or the Commercial Crime bureau of Hong Kong Police Force.
