Exabytes Network's third annual e-commerce conference intends to encourage more Malaysian businesses to go online by gathering more than 20 business experts to share effective strategies, said the Penang-headquartered Web hosting firm.
Exabytes Network (Exabytes) chief executive officer and organising committee chairman Chan Kee Siak said the Exabytes eCommerce Conference 2013 is for local entrepreneurs and small and medium businesses (SMBs) and was initially inspired by the national regulator Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)'s call for more SMBs and entrepreneurs to go online.
"Following the huge success last year, Exabytes eCommerce Conference 2013 will provide the most complete set of information and skills for web entrepreneurs to make a difference in the competitive yet lucrative world of ecommerce," said Chan, adding that the event will include networking opportunities for local business owners as well as online payment and ecommerce industry updates from the Malaysian government.
"The conference is one of the most conducive platforms in Malaysia to outline the foremost Internet retail's trends, prospects, challenges and solutions for local businesses and individuals to find out and harness the real ecommerce opportunities in the world of Internet," he said, adding that more than 20 speakers will discuss topics, which include online business start-up strategy, search engine & social media marketing, and Internet payment gateways.
The Exabytes eCommerce Conference 2013 (Exabytes Malaysia website) will be held on 3 - 4 December 2013 at Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
