IT services provider, HCL Technologies, has struck a five year deal with SAI Global to provide IT managed application services and projects.
HCL Technologies scored the contract after a competitive tender process to assist SAI in delivering its newly integrated global sales and marketing capability and the organisation's strategic future projects.
The contract is expected to save SAI Global around $27 million.
SAI group CIO, Malcolm Pascoe, said the relationship was critical to its IT transformation journey and accessing a global pool of resources that would enhance its product development capability.
HCL Technologies will support SAI Global with a multi-country managed service, which will help reduce support costs and shorten implementation times across the organisation's geographically dispersed operations.
At the same time, HCL will also support the organisation's drive for service quality improvements through the deployment of standardised processes across SAI's business units and provide ongoing support for the organisation's global Epicor ERP platform.
