Groupon appoints Malaysian to lead its largest Asian markets

Group online coupon buying firm Groupon has promoted Malaysian Joel Neoh Eu-Jin to the role of international vice president, APAC, to lead some of the company's largest markets in Asia including Japan and Korea.

Following a two year period where Neoh founded and established Groupon in Malaysia, he has been tasked to the same in Korea and Japan, according to a media statement.

He will also continue his role as the chief executive officer of Groupon Malaysia alongside newly appointed country general manager, Rafiq Razali.

Neoh, whose previous roles in Groupon included chief executive officer of Groupon Taiwan and regional vice president and general manager of Southeast Asia and India, said: "2013 is going to be a big year for Groupon and I'm very excited to be playing a bigger role in it. I'm honoured to be taking on this responsibility and I look forward to the challenges that come with it."
