Google unveils Google Shophouse in Singapore

Zafirah Salim | July 31, 2015
Google launches digital tributes for SG50, including a new app, and new Cultural Institute and Street View collections.

Heritage aside, Google will also be holding coding camps for students in Singapore at its office over the course of a year, which will be organised by local educational organisations 21C Girls (with The Keys Academy) and Saturday Kids.

"Imagination is the key to invention and innovation. We hope that supporting such coding camps for students will not just familiarise them with the tools and technology that will power the future, but also spark the imaginations of Singapore's next generation of innovators," said Flint.

The Google Shophouse is located at 68 Spottiswoode Park Road, and will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm this weekend (August 1 to 2) and the National Day weekend (August 7 to 10).
